#WellnessU: Let's Get Started!



Were you one of the millions of Americans that made a New Year's resolution to be healthier? According to the University of Scranton Journal of Clinical Psychology, the top two resolutions made in January 2014 were to (1) lose weight and (2) get fit and healthy. That's great news!

UNF Continuing Education would like to do our part in helping our community keep those resolutions and become fit and healthier. Today we are kicking off our month-long #WellnessU campaign on social media, and we couldn't be more excited! We are having a hard time restraining ourselves from sharing all of the great content at once! Here is an overview of what to expect:


Motivation. Whether you need motivation to get started or motivation to keep going, we have a variety of motivational resources to share with you. 

Education and Resources. The more you know, the more you will grow and succeed. We have a lot of information and resources to share with you this month, including tips from our wellness instructors and staff.

Special Offers. As an incentive to explore our wellness classes, we will be offering a special discount on our wellness classes to our social media community. Look for the post announcing the offer!

Inspirational Leadership

As we were planning our month, we immediately knew that we wanted to share the stories of two of our UNFCE leadership team members, Tim Giles and Lori Frederick. They each began a wellness plan about two years ago and to date they have lost a combined 150 lbs. and are enjoying the many benefits of living a healthier lifestyle. They have certainly become an inspiration, resource, support and motivational presence here in our office. Throughout the month, we will share parts of their story so that our social media community can gain the benefit of their wisdom as well. As a way to get us started on our wellness month, watch below as Tim and Lori share the benefits of a wellness lifestyle:
